About me

Professional Background

After graduating from two degree programmes at the University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno, I worked for several years as a junior veterinarian in general practice and emergency medicine in the United Kingdom and Germany.

To further specialise, I completed several rotating and surgical internships at renowned referral centres, including VRCC Veterinary Referrals in Basildon and Fitzpatrick Referrals in Surrey.

From 2020 to 2024, I undertook the ECVS residency training programme in small animal surgery at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna. Following successful completion of the programme, I passed the board examinations of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS) and was awarded the titles Diplomate ECVS and Austrian Specialist in Small Animal Surgery. These qualifications represent comprehensive, internationally recognised specialist training in small animal surgery and the highest level of professional qualification in this field.

After further work at a surgical referral centre in London, I am now practising in my adopted home country of Austria and the surrounding regions. I provide comprehensive surgical care for small animal patients in Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. In addition, I am actively involved in the education and training of veterinarians and lead professional training programmes within my specialty.

Personal

After many years of “wandering the veterinary world,” love eventually brought me to the Weinviertel region of Austria, where I now live with my wife and our wonderfully mixed four-legged family.

When I am not operating or spending time with my family, I enjoy working in our natural garden — with questionable long-term success, but unwavering enthusiasm.
